SEE Harness Manufacturing is a cloud-based, modular, collaborative solution for electrical wire design and assembly.
A key component to the complete software suite supporting Electrical Wire Interconnection Systems (EWIS) alongside SEE Electrical PLM and SEE Gen eDoc, SEE Electrical Harness Manufacturing helps to transform the physical harness output received from engineering, whether from SEE design software, external data, or driver data, into harness output to prepare for manufacturing.
Developed for use by Aviation, Defense and Embedded Systems industries, this solution can be applied to an electrical installation of any level of complexity.

- Manage all EWIS cabling components (harness, complex cables, panels, etc.)
- Produce better Engineering Change Notes (E.C.N.) by adding engineering data essential to manufacturing (part numbers of wire extremities, labels, extra cutting length, etc.) using automating methods in your business process
- Simplify the transition from 3D harness export to 2D formboard drawing with our Harness Flattening capabilities
- Leverage the connectivity between logical and physical design to improve data reliability with controlled updates such as new versions or re-work, throughout the project
- Define a product split into several working phases or sub-assemblies, including automatic calculation of the manufacturing operation, the tools needed, aids and notes, and sorting and bundling of the connective equipment and wires
- Automatic wire preparation to create the manufacturing packets, combine the cutting machines with load balancing (optimization of Wire Spool changes) and ensure traceability on the wire cutting, including management of printers for labels and wire marking
- Generate automatic working instructions of your models as well as static or interactive working instructions for the operator and the production floor, with or without a paper trail
- Cost estimate and timing simulation by selecting different process and tools scenarios
- Test data management by generating functional lines, deducing the mating connector and generating code for harness test workbench
- Perform rework optimization by calculating the differential between two versions of the same product, and generating customized differential working instructions
