On April 6, 2023, IGE+XAO announced joining forces with ETAP, establishing ETAP as world’s leading electrical design and operations digital twin for infrastructure, building and industry.
As a result, ETAP expands its software portfolio to include the SEE Electrical software suite.
This combined venture will provide innovative software solutions for electrical systems across the lifecycle, from design and engineering to operations and maintenance, empowering users to increase productivity, collaboration, efficiency, and enabling their energy transition journey.

For over 35 years, the IGE+XAO Group has been a software publisher designing, producing, selling and ensuring the maintenance of a range of Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software. These software products have been designed to help manufacturers in the design and maintenance of the electrical part of any type of installation.
Since mid 2014 with Prosyst take over, IGE+XAO also offers a complete software range for electrical installation functional simulation.
The software packages are :
- "SEE Electrical Expert" : for major industrial installations and embedded processes for vehicles such as planes, ships, cars, tanks, trains, rockets;
- "SEE Electrical Expert", and "SEE Electrical" : for medium-sized industrial installations.
